Boss fight: Revolver Ocelot
GUNNING THE SHARPSHOOTER...
Trussed up in sensor wiring rigged with C-4 explosive, the Armstech President Kenneth Baker is tied to a support column in the center of the room. He cannot be moved for the moment, but your main concern is the danger lurking nearby. Stepping out of a shadow, the slender figure of who could only be FOX-HOUND member Revolver Ocelot. Sure enough, all accounts of his description match and before you is the sadist and gun enthusiast from the lands of Mother Russia. Beware, he's a master at shooting and reloading, so take precaution and bring up your Rations and SOCOM as soon as possible. Your object is to decimate Revolver WITHOUT harming the hostage, so try not to shoot Baker!
First, Revolver Ocelot fires off half a dozen shots that must be dodged. Once he's finished his outburst, you'll be able to retaliate with your SOCOM. Do not attempt to use any other weapon in this enclosed and highly explosive area. Grenades exploding near the mesh of C-4 and wiring will cause instantaneous death and dismemberment to the President of Armstech. Instead, opt to fire your SOCOM at him when you can get a clear shot. And look out, cause this old man can really get up and go, running faster than you can on your best day. Do not touch the wiring in between the pillars as it will have the same effect as throwing grenades. Be wary that you can only hit Ocelot with one bullet at a time, then he flashes for a moment and he is invincible after being shot. Don't attack him with a barrage of bullets or you'll just waste your ammo.
KILL THAT FIEND!...
Revolver Ocelot fires his six shots and then reloads (sometimes on the run, but mostly pausing if you're not too close), and is a master of the banking (and double-banking) shot, so be wary of ricocheting shrapnel. However, he is unprepared for a charge. NEVER STOP RUNNING. When he pauses, run around the pillar, pursuing Revolver, and once around the turn, stay close to the wall. Do this because Revolver Ocelot's shots are fired straight down the midle of the path you're taking, so a wide arch usually results in an enemy miss. Take a shot just after he fires, or, if you can, get a laser target lock (the red aiming dot) on him before he rounds the next corner. If he's already rounding the next corner, laser target him through the trap strings and cap him from afar. Sometimes you can sneak up on him while he reloads and surprise him; an excellent time to plant some lead in the swarthy villain...
