WALKTHROUGH

Rain chokes the traffic on the George Washington Bridge in New York City, New York. The omnipresent blackness squelches out all light except that of the passing cars nearby. A man walks alone, unnoticed by the passing automatons. He has more on his mind than any of them could possibly imagine.........

Metal Gear must be stopped. Forever.

Flicking his cigarette away, the man shuffles forward, the rain pelting down over his hooded form, and increases his pace to a quick trot. Trudging through puddles without a care, he breaks into a quick jog. In a motion unseen by any outside viewers, the man becomes one with the night. He has disappeared. Running footsteps can still be heard, but yet, no sign of the hooded figure. A chameleon-like distortion of light passes by with the sound of swishing fabric. Easy to pass off as a driving sheet of rain. But it is him.

Plagued by an infamous past
Of an unescapable reality,
He must emerge victorious.

The freedom of the entire
world rests in his hands.
It isn't the first time.

The invisible character runs hard and, with precision, vaults himself over the railing of the bridge into the wild unknown below, bungee cord in stow. Below, a ship passes in the night with terrible purpose guiding it. It is for this tanker that this man is destined. This man is Solid Snake. He is not here under any official orders from a muddied bureaucracy. No, he has his own debts to collect.
Payable only in spilt blood.

INCREDIBLY CHEESY BANNERS WANTED! I'm using this space to promote a noble cause; that is, to announce a Photoshop contest on Codename Headquarters (this site's message board) to create the most abbhorent, repulsive, and annoying banner ever conceived. Yes, nearly 100% of all banners are already annoying, but these will be PURPOSEFULLY annoying, unlike gimmick popups that want you to purchase a 10x Zoom Camera using sexy women to pawn their wares to a person who couldn't give a care. I want to see some animation! I want to see mouseovers that incorporate annoying sounds! The goal is to get me disgusted and annoyed so much that I absolutely can't go on living with the thought that somewhere, on a server far, far away...is a truly terrible banner the likes of which I cannot bear. So go ahead and use your Photoshop skills, or lack thereof, and make a truly hideous banner for us. Click the link below to learn more about rules, deadlines, etc;.

Well, a new year is upon us, and we've seen the splendor (depending upon your view) of Metal Gear once again in the form of Sons of Liberty. I have not had much time over the holidays, as I'm sure this is the same with you all, but now am back on track. The new Previous Story link is up now, and if you notice in the background of that page, is a picture of the Metal Gear Ray, which, I'm extra proud to say, is an original I have drawn.

The Metal Gear Solid 2 page has been restored today to it's former glory after a nasty nasty file loss. Expect much more from this page in the weeks to come. The Dogtags section is now up and running, as well as the MGS2 weapons and screenshots.

The Metal Gear Solid 2 strategy guide from Brady Games (maker of Pokemon and Resident Evil series game guides) has been released today. The guide features a walkthrough, secrets, a full-size poster, and several sweet renditions of the characters from Metal Gear mech designer/conceptual artist Yoji Shinkawa. Though not having as many bonus features as the Metal Gear Solid (PSX) guide done by Millenium Publishing, it still has it's plusses.

11.1.01
Metal Gear Solid 2 Premium Package is due out in Japan at the end of December. Those of you who may have imported it from online or other sources will be getting a 72 page "Art of Metal Gear Solid 2" book, Solid Snake statuette, limited-edition soundtrack, and a special 100-minute "making-of MGS2" DVD.
